Today, I had a great conversation with "Peppermint Patty" - Jessica Wingen who gave the character full passion. She wants to share some of her thoughts on this live reading and her aspects of being an actress!
Q1. Can you please give us some background about yourself?
I really loved acting
since I was a kid. I did a lot of theater in school and this is my main career
focus. I work in children’s theater, it is really interesting to work with kids
and still be in the field. I hope to get into more television fields.
Q2. Why did you choose Charlie Brown?
I definitely grew up
with the story. I definitely love peppermint character who is so strong and
funny. I just feel like everyone knows the characters so no one needs to caught
up who they are. It is very interesting to put those characters into different
stories without telling the background.
Q3. What field you have the most interest in as an actress?
I did a couple of short
films and a lot of theater. I did some theater in PCC. I am keep going with the
aspect of films in television fields.
Q4. What is the biggest "crisis" you have in your
performing life and how did you overcome it?
I was doing a play five
years ago, I was in a role of stealing something. I was already sitting on the
stage and realized there is nothing behind my back. So I had to leave the stage
and grab the stuff from the dressing room. I came back to the stage as calm as
possible, it was so hard to do in front of a full crowd of audience.
